Solve math problems online with an AI tutor

Write the problem on the board and start working. Stuck? Ask. The AI tutor can see your board and your notes, so there is no context to explain twice.

How to solve a problem step by step

Type the problem as a formula and take the first step. Every line stays on the board, so the whole train of thought is visible. If something is wrong, you are not hunting blind: the tutor reads exactly what you wrote.

  • The problem and every step on one board
  • Mistakes are found in your own writing, not a retelling

An AI tutor that will not solve it for you

First a hint, then a leading question, and only if you are truly stuck, a walkthrough. That order is deliberate: a finished answer closes the problem but leaves nothing behind. Ask why a step works and you get an explanation, not a line to copy.

  • Hint first, walkthrough last
  • It can see the board and your notes
  • It can write the explanation on the board itself

Check your own solution

Finished it yourself? Ask for a check. The tutor walks your steps and tells you where you turned off the road, instead of just saying it is wrong. Usually that is enough to spot the mistake on your own.

  • A step-by-step check, not a verdict
  • The explanation points at the actual line

FAQ

The short version.

Will it just solve the problem for me?

Push hard enough and it will walk through the whole thing. But by default it leads with hints: a nudge first, then a question. The point is that you get there yourself.

Is it free?

The board and notes are free with no signup. The AI tutor needs a Google sign-in and has a daily message limit.

Can it see what is on my board?

Yes, that is the whole idea. It reads the board and notes of the note you have open, so you never retype the problem into a chat.

Can I ask about things other than math?

You can. The notebook is a normal one and the tutor will discuss any topic. Everything else in Tuboard is simply built around math.

Got a problem worth sorting out?

Open a board, write it down and take the first step. Ask when you get stuck.
